2008-07-28 i call these (from left to right) "stolen sun" and "labourer".
2008-07-28 2008-07-05 thank you, comrade stalin! a quick sketch from imagination.
2008-07-01 instant messaging. painted from imagination.
more photos.
2008-06-06 a bather. painted from imagination.
2008-06-02 sketches done in acrylic.
2008-06-02 2008-03-28 i got rid of the formation in the middle. at least partially. it made
the geranium appear unwelcome. the overall color scheme is starting to
define. am i on to something?
2008-03-24 this is beginning to clear up me thinks. the lower right corner is
promising. it might be a geranium after all. i do not know.
2008-03-20 i do not know what i am doing here...
2008-03-15 first touches of paint. this is all wrong. zoomed in too much.
2008-03-09 i am still enthusiastic about it! i even have made a sketch! this is unstretched canvas. primed.
2008-03-08 i decided i would paint a still life. in oil of course. and on canvas
no less. a lot of people do it, and i am no better. i do have a
geranium on my window, which, many might think, is a very mundane
subject to paint, especially if it is placed against a uniform light
background. i am going to try at least, and if i ever make it, we will
see what comes out. bear with me, dear reader.
and one more thing, i could not resist putting up a quote from a song
by Vladimir Vysotsky
(see wikipedia.org).
for those who can read russian.

У нее, у нее на окошке герань,
У нее, у нее занавески в разводах.
А у меня, у меня на окне ни хера,
Только пыль, только старая пыль на комодах.
